( BCG ) survey of more than 2,300 companies around the world for its annual Digital Acceleration Index ( DAI ), showed that healthcare is one of the least digitally mature industries , scoring an average of 44 out of 100 . That score was 20 % below the two leading industries ( technology and financial institutions ) with an average score of 55 . This suggests the healthcare industry is still ripe for disruption .
